Meet Doug MacGregor

Meet local author and cartoonist Doug MacGregor in store at our Sanibel location. Light refreshments will be provided.

Doug MacGregor has written and illustrated seven children's books. They include Morgan McKinney's Bigger-Than-Life Bedtime Story, Rad Hair Day, The Incredible Tongue Twister That Swallowed My Sister, Ochre The Smoker, and his two most recent Turtellini, The Turbo-Charged Turtle, and Turtellini's Amazing Sky High adventures. 

Doug also published, Get Creative, Turn On The Bright Side Of Your Brain; a book to help folks of all ages become more creative in everyday life. 

Doug has also been an editorial cartoonist for nearly 40 years both at the Norwich Bulletin in Connecticut and The News-Press in Fort Myers, FL. He has won numerous state and national awards for his work and is a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. He is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators. Doug is a musician playing harmonica and singing in local blues and classic rock bands. He is currently working as the Arts in Healthcare Coordinator for Lee Health in SW Florida. His website is dougcreates.com
